Enterprise Persona Development

Lead Researcher

Although founded in 1995, CareerBuilder only first created a UX department in 2013,  first focusing on the consumer side of the business. There was a greater need to understand the company's B2B/Enterprise SaaS (software as a service) users in order to develop the next generation of products and experiences.

In 2014, as the Enterprise researcher, Renée developed and executed a 6 month research plan that comprised of ethnographic research, user interviews, focus groups, user panels and quantitative analysis to develop CareerBuilder's first ever group of enterprise user personas.

User journey mapping

With over 200 interviews completed, the research and data was synthesized and Renee was able to identify 5 distinct user groups and behaviors in the enterprise business. Working with a designer, the persona artifacts were created and shared throughout the organization. The personas became a vital part of the business by informing and influencing product development, design, engineering and sales while being leveraged continuously throughout research and marketing.
